Welcome to Tyn-y-Castell secluded cottage in Rhayader, Mid Wales near the Elan Valley.

The Chalet offers self catering accommodation very close to the town of Rhayader. The chalet has two bedrooms. The first with a double bed and the second with a king size bed that can be made into twin beds upon request. There is also a sofa bed. In total sleeping 6 people

Our delightful chalet is situated amidst the spectacular scenery of the Elan Valley and the Reservoirs. It offers a truly peaceful country holiday. The area is ideal for those who love walking with a footpath right outside the door, which leads through ancient oak woodlands and on to the heather clad hill. Pets are welcome.

It is a paradise for bird watchers and also for bird photography being in the heart of Red Kite country or for the energetic cyclist that wants to take advantage of the numerous cycle tracks developed in recent years.

You can of course just sit and unwind and enjoy the scenery from the large picture windows and the conservatory (with the Red Kite soaring above!) or drive around the lakes and explore the rest of this beautiful area of Mid Wales.
